Across the free world, few tears have been shed for ousted Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro after Operation Absolute Resolve resulted in his capture by U.S. forces [1]. While many have celebrated [2] the downfall of one of the world’s most infamous autocrats, many Americans have expressed serious concerns that the intervention will cause the U.S. to become “overinvolved” in Venezuela. Only a third support the operation, as per a Reuters/Ipsos poll [3].
