Who are we?

The Political Review is an official undergraduate publication of Brigham Young University sponsored by the BYU Political Science Department and the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies. We publish articles on political science, international politics, economics, and current events.

How do we work?

Each semester we accept about twelve applicants as staff writers. They are chosen for their diverse ideologies, civility, and strong writing abilities. Each week we meet and discuss current events and politics. Each month staff writers submit an article for publication in The Political Review. We also have a student editor-in-chief who edits articles and supervises writers, a student publisher who manages logistics, and a digital editor who works with writers and manages The Political Review website. The political review faculty advisor is Dr. David Romney.

The Political Review staff earn appropriate university credit for coursework including participation in weekly classes, monthly publication-ready articles, and regular class presentations. The Political Review staff are not paid and receive no other compensation, except of course the joy of civil involvement.
